Roadmonkey presents
Ganesh Festival and Himalayan Adventure Tour 2012
September 25 - October 7, 2012
Roadmonkey is partnering with New York-based photographer and multimedia producer, Shana Dressler, for this exclusive expedition highlighting the magical tumult and beauty of the Ganesh Festival in Mumbai. While in Mumbai, we’ll work side-by-side with our nonprofit partner, Teach for India, and a local community to renovate a school serving impoverished children.
Afterwards we’ll fly north to the Himalayan foothills to hike and bike, and raft down the mighty Ganges. You need not be a Master of the Universe athlete to enjoy this adventure! You'll eat heartily and sleep well in this rough luxury adventure. We'll camp in spacious safari tents equipped with utilities the first few nights, then in comfortable tents along the Ganges on our white water rafting adventure.
On this 13-day adventure philanthropy expedition, you'll experience India not as a tourist but as an India insider and explorer with the help of Roadmonkey and Shana, now on her 7th visit to the subcontinent.

What is Roadmonkey? Roadmonkey Adventure Philanthropy was founded to inspire the kickass explorer in everyone to make the world a lil' bit better. Unlike conventional adventure travel outfitters, combining off-path physically challenging adventures with sustainable volunteer projects is in our DNA, it's our identity. We work with reputable non-profit partners to produce projects that are hands-on and create meaningful, positive change for members of a local community in need.
